So finally we are all moved into our new home!!! Here are some recent photo's I took but please excuss the fact that I don't have much of anything hanging on the walls just yet. I have all of my old wall decor stored down in the unfinished part of our basement because I wanted to go with some modern decor, so one room at a time.... Our closing went very smoothly and we thank the good Lord for that. We closed on the 5th and moved in on the 6th. Once I get some of the rooms finished up, I will post some more pictures. In the mean while I will be following other blogs to see how everything is coming along.

Finally.........Home Sweet Home!!!
Hi Randy and Teresa!! The two of you have really made your home a "HOME SWEET HOME." Everything looks fantastic! I really appreciate you sharing the pictures and you all have been busy!! You have put some really nice touches in your home. It was a pleasure to watch your home being built and to see the love that the two of you put into it already!! You guys ROCK!
ReplyDeleteNadase, How Sweet, Thank you so much! I just read that you guys are going to be breaking ground at the first of the month. We will keep you guys in our prayers and will be watching as your dream home is in the process of being completed! We are so excited for you guys!! :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your prayers! I am going to drive by today to see if they placed the stakes out. If they do I will be shocked! I really don't think they are going to do it just yet but he said we were in pre start mode! So we shall see! I was just thinking since we meet on Wednesday he should stake it out before our meeting? Did you have stakes before your pre construction mtg?
DeleteYes we did and there were also two piles of rock. This happened a week prior to the pre construction meeting but every PM moves at their own pace. Time will fly so fast. I know it doesn't seem that way now but come Christmas time you'll have yourselves a wonderful new home! You guys seem like really great people. We hope everything goes so smoothly for you guys. I always enjoy reading all of your comments to everyone. You always say such nice things to all the bloggers.
DeleteThe house looks awesome! Love that set up in the basement!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! We really enjoy the family room.
DeleteYou guys are all over it, and it looks great! I am still trying to decide on window treatments, and I moved in a week before you did! SMH! If you don't mind me asking, where did you get the chairs in the basement? I LOVE them!!
ReplyDeleteTimika, thank you so much! The chairs in the living area are Palliser home theatre seating. We got them from front room furnishings. You can go on to their website www.palliser.com. I believe the model we we purchased is called the auxiliary. Believe it or not we got all five chairs for what a nice sectional would cost, so we had to do it. We special ordered them in black. The store had them in stock in grey only. Took about 3 weeks to get them. As for the windows, we had the temporary blinds that Nadase is talking about for the first week we were here. I had paid for the blind package but our PM did not get them in time so they put in the temporary ones until ours came in and like Nadase said, they do actually look very nice. I have only put up valances in the breakfast room. I'm just going to do one room as a time. Your house looks great too!!!
DeleteI've ordered the plantation shutters and faux wood blinds that I wanted, now its all about curtains and such.
DeleteI looked online and they have a store here that sells Palliser theater seating, and its five miles right down the road! We will definitely take a trip there to see what we can buy for the mancave.
Timika, what are you using now for window treatments? I intend to use the temporary blinds from home depot or lowes until I decide the perfect combo for each room. They are very simple to use and look very pretty from the outside too. Just measure, cut, peel and stick to the window! They come in packs of two for 9.95 or 19.95 can't remember which price is right but they have them.
ReplyDeleteHouse looks great
ReplyDeleteYour house looks great! I love the thing above your bed in the master. Where did you get it? Your theater seating is epic!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I got the metal decor from home goods and bought the vinyl lettering below it at either kohls or the hobby lobby. The lettering just sticks to the wall. Very easy to apply. It says A true love story never ends. Both stores carry the vinyl lettering.
DeleteLove the theater seating. And the ceiling is a nice touch too! I really like that. You were rolling when you moved in!
